CIVIC is one of ninety-five similar councils
in cities and states throughout the United States
affiliated with the National Council for International
Visitors (NCIV) in Washington, D.C.
The Council is a program of the Leadership Collier
Foundation, a 501c3 and The Greater Naples Chamber
of Commerce outreach program for international
visitors in the Greater Naples Area.
Serving as a focal point for international visitors
interested in Greater Naples and Collier County,
CIVIC supports our embassies abroad in their role
to assist individuals and groups who visited the
United States at the invitation of the U.S. Department
of State.
These individuals are potential or current mid-career
leaders in professions, government, business and
the arts. Their alumni include dozens of heads
of government and over 4,000 ministers of state.
The State Department’s International Visitors
Program promotes interaction of these individuals
with American counterparts around the country
on subjects of mutual interest.
